Our Story
Cotton Van Conversions grew out of a shared enthusiasm for campervans, travel and doing things properly.
Mick Cotton first met Stuart when he was looking for someone to convert a van into a camper that he could use for trips away with Diesel, his Rottweiler. Stuart brought almost 30 years of experience building and converting campervans to the project, and what began as a straightforward customer conversion soon developed into something more.
After seeing the work and care that went into his own van, Mick offered Stuart workshop space at his premises. From there, Cotton Van Conversions began taking shape in October 2025, and the workload has grown steadily ever since.
The aim has remained simple: to build practical, well-thought-out campervans around the way their owners genuinely intend to use them, using dependable components, sensible layouts and careful workmanship.
HOW WE WORK
Practical by Design
Every conversion starts with how the van will actually be used. Layout, storage, sleeping, cooking and electrics are planned around the owner rather than a fixed template.

We use equipment and materials we know and trust, with an emphasis on reliability, quality and ease of use.

From the first conversation through to the finished van, customers deal directly with the people doing the work. Advice is practical, honest and based on what will actually suit the build.

Every workshop needs someone to keep an eye on things
Diesel has been part of the Cotton Van Conversions story from the beginning. Mick’s original camper was built so the two of them could get away together, and he’s always been a familiar face around the business.
When he isn’t supervising van conversions, he can usually be found relaxing in the office and keeping a close eye on everything that’s going on.
